Structural balance testing is an absolute must for anyone who is serious about their training. For the human body to perform to it’s optimum level the musculoskeletal system must be balanced. Using the methodology of Charles Poliquin (the worlds leading strength coach over the past 2 decades) in combination with information from the National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Programme, tests will be carefully selected to determine the strength and length tension relationships of key muscle groups.
Analysis of the tests will allow real purpose to be added to every training session, and significant progress to be made. Weak muscle groups are identified and can therefore be strengthened effectively. Tight muscle groups are also identified and can then be subjected to techniques such as myofacial release, soft tissue work, and stretching. In very simplistic terms you will learn what exercises your body is able to perform and what exercises should be avoid until a corrective exercise plan has been completed. From improving your running performance to increasing your maximum bench press, structural balance testing will add great value and enhance results.
